Why the long face?

At some point a witty saying will materialize here. Right here. Watch for it.

Well, I don’t have much knitting to report. I did finish the Icord bindoff on the Taos stole, but have only just started weaving in ends. I estimate that there are approximately 6,239 ends to weave in, so it will take a while.

I’ve got a mild crick in my neck, so it has been hard to sit with my head looking downwards since Sunday afternoon. Never fear, my bloggy friends, yesterday was definately the worst. It is much better this morning, probably because I had the heating pad on it for most of yesterday evening. Aaaaahhhhh. I have one of those microwave rice pads in my office, so I apply that every couple of hours. I should be fine in a day or so.

So, knitting and reading were pretty much out yesterday, and the Rockies game was over in the early afternoon. What is a girl to do?

Go to the internet and research the Roomba. Sadly, the Roomba does not seem to be very well recommended. Apparently, they only work for a month or two. Sigh. I still need to get a vacuum for my upstairs. Another vacuum for my upstairs, I should say. They keep dying.

Aren’t you glad that I have this blog to share all the exciting details of my life??

Big news at work, yesterday. We finally (finally) got the “mostly final” move schedule. We were thrilled to find out that our entire department is moving into the new building at the end of this year (there was a chance that only half would be moving, which would mean that the move torture would last until the end of 2011). We have a lot of work to do, but then it will be over. I’m very pleased, yet somewhat panicky at the same time.

Everyone have a great day!

  1. I am so glad to hear the move might be over in one push versus dribs and drabs. All is well here. Pedro is feeling a little punky so I am watching him to see if I will need to go to my drug dealer to get more antibiotics for him. It may just be a little bug thing, I hope. Hugs to you and the kitties.

  2. I love that picture! Bummer about the Roomba; I think Dyson has a pet hair vacuum that’s supposed to be good.

I hope your neck feels better soon. Good news about the office move!

  3. Bought a Dyson about six months ago. Great investment, it is expensive, but it works great, easy to use and picks up tons of cat hair.

  4. I have a roomba that I bought several years ago–I used it twice and it died. The dogs loved it though!!
