Cat Bullet

Water Wars in my Kitchen

Stacked Cats

An update on the “water wars” – Purrcy seems to be unable to move the casserole dish more than an inch or so, and the presence of water “splashes” seems to be diminishing. Hopefully, his inability to move the bowl will cause him to lose interest and move out of the “phase”. Taffy is greatful that she gets water to drink.

In answer to many of the comments:

Yes, I know that Purrcy (at least) frequently drinks out of the toilet. We will not discuss how gross I think that is… Or how he leaves “splashes” on the seat. Just like a male. :-)

I’ve already tried getting a heavy dog bowl for water – Purrcy just splashed and splashed until it was empty. And then sat in the empty bowl and howled because he didn’t have any more water to play with.

Also, the “water cooler” dispenser type things – BAD idea. On the plus side, the kitchen floor was VERY clean that week.

So what else is new in my life? Not much, actually. I’m feeling a lot better and have about four more days of antibiotic.

I have been doing a little bit of knitting, but have been busy running errands this week in the evenings (errands that should have been done last week, but I was too “ooky” to leave the house). I got the Red Scarves mailed off (thanks Judy and Terrie!) as well as a couple of letters and a box of goodies to my “Adopt a Soldier”.

I did start my holiday knitting – those of you who know me are thinking right now that “Cathy NEVER does holiday knitting”. What can I say – I was seduced by a cute little kids pattern and my Goddaughter and her sister have moved back into town. As always, photos when I get time.

Everybody have a great Wednesday!

  1. Glad Purrcy can’t move the casserole dish! Hopefully he’ll stop wanting to play in it all the time :)

    I’m glad you’re feeling better!

  3. Hi, Catherine, I took that Purrcy picture from your last post (and a few others… camels, included) and added them to the random rotation, in case you had not noticed. :)
